Mother Bunny looked at the lonely little bunny and noticed how sad
she looked. She noticed how important it was for the lonely little bunny to have someone her own age to play with.
"Ok, little bunny. I will let you go on your adventure to find the perfect friend. However, I want you to come
home before the sun goes down.
So, the lonely little bunny dressed in her favorite little dress and
put matching ribbons in her hair. As she skipped out of the hollowed out log, she gave her mother a hug and a kiss and
promised to be back before the sun went down.
As she bounced up the path through the field, the lonely little bunny
saw something moving in the grass ahead of her. It was a baby mouse learning to collect seeds. The lonely little
bunny went up to the mouse and said, "Hello little mouse. Would you like to come play with me?"
"I wish I could," said the baby mouse, "But I have to gather these
seeds to take home for my mother."
"Maybe I can help you," said the lonely little bunny.
"It would make it more fun," said the baby mouse.
So, the lonely little bunny helped the baby mouse gather seeds until
it was nearly time for the sun to go down. They laughed and talked and enjoyed each other's company. Then they
said goodbye and the lonely little bunny returned to her home in the hollowed out log at the edge of the field.
